Safety Resources and Tools

There are many resources and tools available to Vintage Place residents courtesy of Fairfax County:

  • The Reston District Police Station offers links to on-line reporting, neighborhood news, station information, the Reston Reliance and other information.

  • Sign up to receive police alerts on a variety of their electronic devices. In partnership with the County’s Office of Emergency Management, a new public safety category on the Community Emergency Alert Network (CEAN) enables the police to send geographically targeted alerts, to include timely information on significant criminal incidents in neighborhoods and important announcements.

  • The Citizens' Advisory Committee provides a forum for citizens to express concerns about specific areas, provides a forum for obtaining citizen input about the delivery of police services and provides a formalized process to facilitate citizen and community cooperation with the police. If you have any interest in this, meetings are held at the Reston District Police Station on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. There are no meetings in July or August. For more information on this call 703-478-0904.
